Step-by-Step Fix

1. Before you begin, ensure the radiator is completely cool to the touch; this is crucial for your safety and allows the adhesive to cure properly. Locate the radiator's thermostatic valve or the main heating control and turn the heating off for this radiator, then wait at least 30 minutes for it to cool down fully.
2. Once the radiator is cool, thoroughly clean the wall directly behind it using a damp cloth and a mild detergent, ensuring all dust, grime, and cobwebs are removed. A clean, dry surface is essential for the reflector panel's adhesive to stick effectively, so allow the wall to dry completely before proceeding.
3. Measure the width and height of the radiator, deducting about 2-3 cm from both dimensions to ensure the panel fits neatly behind without showing. Use a sharp utility knife or strong scissors to carefully cut the reflector panel to your measured size, making clean, straight cuts for a professional finish.
4. Apply the provided adhesive tape or a strong double-sided tape directly to the back of the cut reflector panel, typically along the edges and in the centre. Carefully position the panel behind the radiator, centring it as best you can, then firmly press it against the wall to ensure it adheres properly.
5. Once the panel is in place, gently but firmly press all areas of the panel against the wall one last time, paying close attention to the taped sections. Give the panel a slight tug around the edges to confirm it is securely attached and won't slip down once the heating is back on.
