Step-by-Step Fix

1. For your safety, immediately switch off the oven at the mains electricity supply or unplug it from the wall socket. Crucially, allow the oven to cool down completely to room temperature before attempting any work, as the internal components and door can remain extremely hot for a significant time.
2. Carefully open the oven door fully and visually locate the existing rubber or silicone seal that runs around the perimeter of the oven cavity. Take a moment to observe how it is attached, noting if it's clipped, hooked, or simply pressed into a groove.
3. Starting from any point, firmly but gently pull the old, damaged seal out of its retaining groove or off its clips. Inspect the removed seal for any remaining fragments or debris that might be left behind in the groove.
4. Prepare a solution of warm, slightly soapy water and use a clean cloth to thoroughly clean inside the seal's retaining groove, removing any grease, food debris, or old sealant. Ensure the groove is completely dry afterwards by wiping it with a clean, dry cloth or allowing it to air-dry fully.
5. Begin by aligning one corner of your new oven door seal with the corresponding corner of the oven cavity's groove. Starting from this corner, firmly press the new seal into the retaining groove, working your way around the entire perimeter of the oven door frame.
6. Once the new seal is fully installed, visually inspect its entire length to ensure it is snugly seated within the groove all the way around the door frame. Double-check that there are no twists, kinks, or gaps in the seal, as this will compromise its effectiveness.
