Step-by-Step Fix

1. Firstly, firmly grasp each fence post and try to wobble it back and forth; pay close attention to any movement at the base where it meets the ground. Look for cracks in any existing concrete or signs of rot at the bottom of wooden posts, as these indicate instability.
2. If a fence post is significantly loose, carefully dig out the soil around its base to expose the foundation, ideally to a depth of at least 45cm, ensuring the post remains upright and plumb. Then, mix and pour in new postcrete or quick-setting concrete, supporting the post until it's firmly set according to the product instructions.
3. To re-secure the panel, position it squarely against the fence posts. Use galvanised 'U' brackets or angled fence panel clips, screwing them securely into both the panel and the post with appropriate exterior screws at the top, middle, and bottom.
4. Thoroughly inspect the fence panel itself for any signs of rot, splintering, or broken slats. If the panel is extensively damaged, it's safer and more durable to remove it completely and replace it with a new, sturdier panel.
5. Finally, give the repaired fence panel a good push and pull from various angles to confirm it no longer wobbles or moves. Ensure all fixings are tight and there are no gaps that could allow the panel to become loose again in strong winds.
